Astrologically, the seed force bursts the year open on the Vernal or Spring Equinox, between March 19 and 21 when the sun arrives at zero Aires. ‘Equinox’ literally means ‘equal night,’ when day and night both hold twelve hours. It was the ancient victory of the God of Light over the God of Darkness, or death, and celebrations, such as Easter, and Passover are life-affirming, of birth and re-birth; victory over death.
Spring rhythms dance the power of their visions, knowing they have the ability to inspire others, and lead the way. The Aires, “I Am” mantra replicates the same courage to overcome the odds, for there is a single-minded insistence on new life that carries them through crises. Taurus implements and uses the organization of goals with sound judgment, and ties it up in beautiful ritual and ribbon. Gemini talks about the process, questioning the results, then shares it with everyone.
Spring Rhythm’s imbalances come from over-stepping boundaries, when Aires self assurance becomes arrogance, when Taurus’ quiet assertiveness grows inflexible, judging others who do not operate from the same base.
