THE STORY
The Solstice chart speaks of upcoming energies, and old, unresolved ones we have struggled with, but yet not won. It is a potent gateway for upcoming revolution/evolution in 2020. This year brings us face to face with our materialism, waste, corporate structure, inequality, and issues of power-over. Fasten your seat belt!
The ‘Aires Point’ Full Moon, as part of the Solstice chart, repeats the revolutionary feel, as the Capricorn/Cancer axis involves heads of state VS the people, or Dad and Mum in a face off, or the CEO VS the helpful-minions. Adding to the ‘Capricorn affect’ is first Eclipse of 2019, Jan. 5, in Capricorn. (Yes, this is the same day as my Astrology Lecture at Laughing Dog, 2-3:30. Eclipses are all about change, and this talk is about becoming the change you wish to see and be in the world)
There are three inherent positive forces in the Solstice chart: 1.The relationship between Mercury and Jupiter, Jolly guru of the zodiac. Our thinking, and communication are optimistically influenced by this abundant energy. Watch out for too-big stories, and little lies. 2. A Venus/Neptune Trine, wants more of a relationship with spirit, and is probably willing to forgive and forget to create better connections. Look at old resentments and ask yourself if you really want to carry the weight of them forward. 3. If you like surprises and unexpected events, you will be happy to hear that Uranus Trines the Sun. It may be destabilizing, but with it comes freedom!
The doors to the New Year open, let us walk on, arm in arm, with songs to sing, friends to see, dances to learn!

YOUR BIRTHDAY WEEK: With the Full Moon as your guide, you know much of this year will be involved with partnering and relationships. Perhaps they will remind of the energy between mom and dad? It’s a great opportunity to look back and heal what is unresolved, to see what holds you back from intimate partnering. Your ideas are ready to expand more fully, so take advantage of this hook into onto a larger stage, from the Aires Point Full Moon. Dream big, follow through, trust yourself. The world awaits!
YOUR PRACTICE THIS WEEK: Align it with the magic of the Solstice. If ever there was a time to stand soft/stand strong this is it. Be in the stillness and feel the light begin to turn toward her summer solstice. Breathe into your Third Eye and feel the inner guidance so alive and bright on this longest night. Partner yourself with love, on the mat and off.
