BE WOKE!   Oct. 22-Nov. 1

  • THEMES
  • If you have not been woke, this Full Moon will do the trick! Full Moons give full expression. Dream the life you dream of. Visualize a brighter, literally enlightened, awareness.

Prepare for the unexpected by staying centered. Nervous tension and intuition run side by side. Quiet the anxiousness so you can use the influx of creative moonbeams.

Once again Venus Retrograde in Scorpio, has a starring roll, affecting relationships, finances, value and self worth. ‘Love true luv’ may be highlighted this week, and never look the same again.

Will and desire are strong, but surprising interventions that re-orient ego and feeling occur. This may feel karmic, and timeless, like dropping down the rabbit hole into a larger destiny.

THE STORY

All roads lead to the ‘bespoke’ Full Moon of the 24th, at one degree Taurus/Scorpio. It is emotionally potent, quadrupling its energy with the Moon’s conjunction to Uranus, and the Scorpio Sun’s conjunction to Venus Retrograde. Plus they square the karmic Moon’s Nodes at one degree of Leo and Aquarius. This makes for a ‘fixed grand cross’, an extreme energy waiting to blow from forces at odds with each other. Put your jett-boots on over your star socks for take off. Secrets will be discovered, breakthroughs will happen, and shifts in finances and relationship are ready to crack open.   Old, crystalized structures are giving way, leading to intuitive moments of greater self-discovery.

Energetic values of this Full Moon play a big role in the weeks ahead. The Sun, cuddling Venus, zings loud as it opposes the Taurus Moon aligned with Uranus, ‘the god of change. ’ Both Scorpio and Taurus are fixed. They dislike change. Their regenerative power digs deeply, leaving few to stones unturned. Finances and relationships are getting a thorough going over, along with politics, death, value and self worth. It is so damn important we see our value, honor our talents, and support others to do the same. If we allow Venus to leave Scorpi, November 16, without learning to care more deeply about our worth, our talents, our capacity to love, and appreciate ~what a waste! This Full Moon brings lessons, and surprising windows of opportunity to enter into a profound partnering with self.

The polarities of this Sun and Moon require time for quiet reflection in order to bring the emotional life into greater balance. Because the complicated, multi-layered energies create tension, anxiety, even fear, it’s of paramount importance to find care-corners in each day to still the chaos, and allow intuition to download. Because the veil is ripped apart by this force-field, you may get a big download that has been waiting for an ‘en-lightened’ moment. Prepare by purging old mind sets, and clarifying goals. Don’t assume old relationship patterns will hold, a careless financial outlook will produce, or creativity that does not value heart, continue creating. Be woke. It won’t!

October has been a Venusian dreamscape, as Venus ruled the last lunation, the New Moon in Libra, as well as putting an exclamation point to this week’s Full Moon. As we prepare to leave the month, put will and desire into soul growth, and spirit connection. Do Venus the honor of caring for mother earth. Be sensually conscious as you re-orient toward a destiny that nurtures and appreciates your unique talents. The Nodal tie-in to the Full Moon adds a fatefulness, or karmic-connection to our actions. We may not see what we wish to see when we want to see it, but during the following week fall-off of this combust lunation, observe changes, stay connected to deep levels of your being. You may be surprised to see life come together in ways you didn’t think possible.

                                                                               ****

YOUR BIRTHAY WEEK: With your ruling planet Venus full of passionate will, plan on a year of transformational relationships and partnering. Your most talented dancing will be the one to partner Self. I know that a number of you have been doing the ‘should’ of extra responsibility, which has recently been released. Your job this year is to plunge into what holds significance, what dreams you’ve put on hold, and the motivations that layer your expertise. Expect surprises. Follow through on out of the box thinking. Smile through turbulent emotional seas that may throw you off course, but arrive to teach self care and centering. Try to stay out of the drama. I promise a wild ride, but it will be your ride. Go gear up in those ‘star socks and jett boots.’!

YOUR PRACTICE: See short balancing kryia for your practice under the polarities of the Full Moon. Inhale into each asana, exhale out of them. Move through it as slowly or quickly as your body wishes. Play the music that sings your name. Pull up the Tse mudra from last week as a calming counter point to this super-charged week. Your practice is to move yin and yang polarities into harmony. Direct prana through the sushamna nadi, up the spine, while pulling in earth energy. Exhale anxiety. (For the Tse Mudra, close thumb into palm and wrap fingers over it. This mudra enhances intuition, charm, and magnetism while minimizing depression, sadness, and fears. What a subtle balancing act it is to hold center.)
