Exploring A New Layout!     May 22-29

The Week’s Themes
A. Despite dissonance ~ Explore & Experiment.
B. “Crises In Consciousness.” What you know and what you are hoping for, don’t necessarily mesh.
C. New ideas are necessary, but not necessarily easy.
D. Once again, relationships are the great teachers.

The Story
The Astrological story line this week asks that we dive beneath the surface of the psyche to explore subconscious themes running our viewpoint.  Is it a viable point of view? Or, have we outgrown it?  The First Quarter Moon in Gemini, along with the Sun’s move into Gemini, emphasize pondering and querying in order to grow awareness of how thoughts and ideas create our life, especially buried ideas from childhood.  Take time to deepen down, to sit with self and stand as loving witness to where you are in this moment.  With Jupiter opposing Mercury, don’t miss the opportunity to be with your hidden agendas, mind games and old destructive thought patterns.  We can only transform what we can see; what we are conscious of.

Last week’s New Moon, with the Uranus shift into Taurus, upset a lot of apple carts. dailybreathjournal.com   Have we distilled any pertinent information from the upheaval, especially Venus-information regarding self worth, value, or relationships?  Venus and Mars are both prominent, hence the on-going emphasis on relationship, sex, passion, and creativity.  Despite Mars being full of macho piss and vinegar, try not to react.  Simmer if you must.  Use that piss and vinegar to drive a willingness to not judge, to actively listen, and then creatively explore. The consequences will not only be enlightening, but may beguile, leading you into the new journey.

Be aware that Mars in square to Uranus takes the gloves are off! This is ever a volatile set up.  Be extra careful with sharp instruments, speed, and carelessness.  Their confrontational set up can be used to clear the air, if you are very carefully astute.  It can also create abrupt endings. In the later part of the week, Mars softens and is more usable and supportive.   Handle your story with care.  Love all your characters.  Leave room for surprises and joy.  Honor your creation of each moment’s story-line.

THE PRACTICE THIS WEEK:  Due to the discomfort of polarities crisscrossing and exacerbate any calm that might be had, we are dropping down into the core of each asana.  Classes continue their emphasis in strengthening the abs, and lifting the bandhas.  We cultivate calm in conscious Pranayama, and mantras that support the body’s flow, rather than the blockage.  Twists are emphasized because they offer opportunity to wring the body out, like squeezing a sponge to make it useful again.

THIS WEEK’S BIRTHDAYS:  “Keep calm and carry on!” Is a good birthday mantra.  Despite, or because of the dissonance, you will discover a more intuitive ability to grow consciousness.  This is a gift beyond pearls.  It is gold.  It is the redeeming wealth of a rich life, and you have this wonderful opportunity to have more.  As you grow your wisdom, you will find new relationships where you can share it and be recognized.  Don’t get distracted. Rather stay the path by cultivating calm; cultivating witness mode/antar mouna.  Be your own best Gemini-Twin!

Astrological Consultations:   It’s  always a good time to look at one’s life from an objective, non-judgmental point of view. Especially when the dust flies and the future looks unfamiliar.  If you are asking, “What is my genius, and how do I wish to use it?  How can I move deeply into my healing? When do I make moves for success?”  Then let us swim in your life together, in wonderful discovery.  Email  samcatcam@gmail.com
