I Have A Dream Jan 18~25

This week, to honor the dreams of Dr. King, align yourself to your ‘True North.’ Re-instate heart-dreams in moving toward Saturday’s Full Moon in Leo. Is your direction for 2016 growing clear? Do you perceive your deeper truths, your healing capacities? Have you re-considered a better plan, a deeper transformation? Good.

Despite wanting to strut into the new territory of a New Year, we have been hamstrung by inward-leaning, review-energies. If you’ve been forced to slow down and re-do, as directed by a difficult Mercury Retrograde, it may not be such a bad thing, despite frustrations. With the light of this Full Moon leading us toward the last days before Mercury turns direct on the 25th, we will feel more confident and accurate of 2016 plans. Despite disruptions and miscommunications, our power to listen and interact has grown. No?

Have this month’s detours been for naught? With Mercury’s station in close proximity to Pluto, assessment will require deep, regenerative thinking and perspective, provided by the many anxiety provoking detours. The upcoming Full Moon, along with Jupiter snuggling into the North Node, will offer insights that bring us together and offer healing information: Open the heart, become the Queen or King of life, share your talents abundantly, and accept gifts due. Let the unnecessary fall away. Let confusion feed a greater talent to choose with wisdom.

Perhaps in feeling hampered we have been forced into new perspectives? I have, and I do believe it is a talent needing cultivation for the coming time. What we know, what we think is going to happen, what we assume, are all changing.   A new way through is needed, a dream revived. Our assumptions require exploring. First, we must see where and when we do assume, no easy task. Use the mystical and mundane energies of this week to access your imagination, explore your visionary capability, along with assumptions and beliefs to move toward the Full Moon’s revelations offering opportunity to expand. Dr. King will be proud.

Practice the Week: Open heart and mind to greater possibility by physically expanding the back to support a wider, softer heart space. Good poses for this include: Setu Bandha Sarvangasana/Bridge Pose; Viparita Dandasana/Inverted Staff Pose (supported in a chair;) Matsyasana/Fish Pose; Bhujangasana/Serpent Pose; Camatkarasana/Flipping the Dog Pose; Ustrasana/Camel Pose. All of these and more can be found here: dailybreathjournal.com/yoga/poses/chest openers.
