Magical Skies, Sept. 16-23

We stand between the two eclipses, always harbingers of change when cleaning out inner and outer closets of un-used objects is extremely satisfying and healing. Eclipses turn us toward the road to be travelled in coming months, as well as review of journeys completed. The advice: Move beyond old reactive patterns. Take time to listen for a new tune, the better dance.

You may find your dreams oozing information of a practical, magical nature under a Jupiter-Neptune opposition. It is an opportunity to hone skills, and every-day habits into something more expansive and insightful, offering you ‘better service,’ one more connected to your spirit.

We shall learn very different lessons from the old taskmaster, Saturn, as it moves into Sagittarius, where it lives until 12/17. It’s journey through Scorpio has given us underground knowledge about the grit and repercussion of : power, control, sexuality, with, hopefully, a soupçon of transformation. Saturn in Sag. will be a very different kettle of fishy brine. Here, we re-structure what we can to reach a more heavenly plane. We move from our ‘lower nature,’ a Scorpio focus~ to the higher self of philosophy, education, religion, society, both foreign and homebound, and the greater meaning in life.

And then we have Mercury retrograde on the 17th. ( I mis-informed you last week, printing the 13~a typical Mercury Retro boo boo. Many apologies.) You know all the necessary advice of backing up tech instruments, not buying cars, or electronic devices until after Mercury goes direct, 10/10. But ~remember it’s a powerful time to turn inward and listen to visions, to create new space for healing, to re-configure what is to happen next.  This energetic ties in beautifully with the eclipse doors, the Jupiter-Neptune opposition, and yes-the Saturn in Sag. shift. Indeed, ‘Magical Skies,’ my friends, so reach for the stars.

Our Practice this week will be constructed of practicality and spirit, of useful information and magical moments. We shall invite breath and prana to infuse mystery on the mat, asking: “How does life on the mat heal life off the mat? And since we move toward the first quarter lunar phase, we are more demanding of our physicality, more yang in our nature.
