MASTERY     Jan. 30-Feb. 5

Inevitably we learn through the twin gateways of persistence and patience how masters become masters.”  Tut

THEMES:

  • Planets changing signs release and re-invent us.
  • New Moon on the 4th asks we prepare: take quiet time this week to see what changes need implementing and emphasizing.

Strong Capricorn energies, (Venus, Saturn, Pluto, New Moon) demand persistence, patience, a serious, focused, and defined commitment. “Heigh ho heigh ho, it’s off to work we go.”

 THE STORY

Eclipse season more often than not, moves us to greater introspection. Lives have been jostled, some for the sheer madness of it, others for the cleansing, regenerative forces needing to emerge.  During this Last Quarter Lunar phase, leading to the New Moon on the 4th, feel into, and prioritize what needs attention.  Look under rocks for hidden meaning in your work. Feel under the surface of relationships.  Who needs greater attention right now?  Is it you?

We are coming to the end of planetary passages in signs, (Chiron in Pisces, and Uranus in Aires.) This always indicates not only change, but a last look back to see what has been learned, or accomplished.  Navigate complexity with empathy.  Chiron, ‘the wounded healer,’ looks back, asking if we have found healing from loss?  Have we left victimhood? Have we surrendered childhood wounds to move on? When it moves into Aires, it  will demand we be courageous in healing self, and others, and ask, “Do you have rights to exist?”

Uranus, leaving Aires, has assured us we are koo-koo, iconoclastic warriors! But the question upcoming will be; can we put the sword to greater use?  In Taurus, Uranus will demand we care for the eco system, its animals, and attend to self worth.  It will point out what really is of value, and how close we are to losing it, if we cannot change.  Uranus in the last degrees of Aires, brings to a close the square with Pluto. For the past ten years this configuration has pushed rebellion, upheaval, catharsis, power plays, innovation and defiance.  What have we learned?  How are we willing to change?  Time to confront- “Might makes right.”

Another shift is the oh so personal, and highly prized goddess of love and money, Venus, turning sober, and mature through February.  On the 3rd, she leaves ebullient Sagittarius for Capricorn. Another Saturn ruled event is the New Moon of the 4th..  Under old rulerships, Aquarius belongs to Saturn.  Aquarius presents a fascinating template to think about the future while dismantling the past.  Take quiet time before you leap into the big changes to come.  Prepare to put petal to the metal of Mastery!

YOUR BIRTHDAY WEEK:  Stay grounded while being creative.  Don’t move so fast you fly.  Your gifts of Aquarian inventiveness are high- use them!  Tie up lose ends knowing you prepare soil for new life in 2019.  Create a practice of being present. Use stamina of planetary support to take you to the next level of consciousness.  If your birthday is toward end of the week, be aware of volatility and powerful passions being part of your year.  Mars is strong in Aires, the sign it rules.  Be assertive, but aware of consequences.  Take initiative, but use caution. Be aware of your part in power struggles and listen to angelic whispers.

YOUR PRACTICE THIS WEEK:  When is it NOT profitable to Practice with patience and persistence?  Feel planetary support in following through to create a strong, enduring Practice that gives back what you put into it.  Blend stillness with movement, power with flexibility. It is a time to be measured, yet not lose your passion.  Remember to plant seeds of intention into your Lotus Mudra.  Prepare the soil for exciting growth.
