May The Force Be With YOU ~ Sept. 30-Oct. 5

For those who witnessed the ‘Blood Moon’ and her eclipse Sunday night, did you feel the transformative power of an old life closing as the Moon’s light grew dark? Late as it was, EDT, did you wait long enough to feel a new path opening as the shadow moved off the Moon allowing her to grow enormously light again? Magical moments these eclipses, whether seen or unseen.   Remember, the body’s electromagnetic field is profoundly shaken in preparation for the new way, the unknown life calling us. We need to be shaken, eh? It’s much easier to do and be the same-O, same-O. We require the cleansing of the ‘dark knife’ cutting out our light in order to embody spirit.

This is a good week for October-preparations. What do we wish to take with us, what old parts do we wish to jettison or transcend? Utilize the final 10 days of this very twisty Mercury Retrograde to finish re-vamping and clearing closets of the mind, closets of the house. Mercury’s forward motion, re-booting Oct. 9-10, aligns with the New Moon in Libra on 12-13. These energies again ask ego and spirit to dance together. We have a portal to communicate with our inner knowing, and prepare a deeper partnership with the divine. How do you wish to do that?

Are you beginning to feel that all that is being asked of you is to prepare? To get ready? To re-boot? To let go? To install a new hard drive? I am. It’s exhausting. Our bodies, especially our emotional bodies, need not only new gears to face unfamiliar challenges, we need daily rituals to keep us sane and whole.  My partial list to sustain my sanity at the moment:

Hold tight to friends.

Find ways to the absurd. When it get so bad tears don’t work, then laughter is the choice.

Create alone time; no phone, no chatting, no to-do list, no TV. Suck your thumb. Take a walk. Take a walk sucking your thumb.

Lie in Savassana, or Supta Baddha Konasana, right hand on your heart, left on your belly. Inhale light, exhale the garbage: dailybreathjournal.com/poses/Restore & Relax.
