Nothing is new under heaven, and everything is new. Lots depends on how open our eyes are, and how acutely we wish to hear the sub-text. This week reflects more changes to September’s acutely transformational days, leading to tonight as the perfect night to hold the political debate of our lifetime. Pluto, that sublime Goddess of death, sex taxes, power, and big business is standing still to go direct after her long retrograde sojourn. She turned backward in April, asking for a review of those deep and difficult realms she rules, and I’m speaking here of Capricornian realms, which she entered in 2008. She has forced the world to attend to her demands in dealing with inequities of power in all things, but particularly in big business, politics, policing, and government. Pluto says, ‘if you wish to rule, first you must learn the rules, and power over others is not my way. So, let’s learn just how bad doing it badly can be, then we will all understand.’
The second shift in energy that we are beginning to sense is Jupiter’s journey in Libra, where his jovial spirit will reside the next 12 months. Libra, as you know, is not only about right relationship, but checks and balances in the legal system, as well as strategies involved in politics and military force. Personally, we will work with Jupiterian expansiveness primarily within relationships, hopefully finding greater balance, give and take, and a sense- if not abundance, at least greater fairness with others.
And yes, Mercury is another player, now moving forward slowly picking up speed in Virgo, where it rules and remains strong. This is another sign that our political indecision may be ending. We are making strong, inner choices about our own power, our money, those we want in power, and how to open to bigger, brighter alliances with others, those we can trust, and those we want to commit to. Mars is yet one more shift in the sky as it moves into Capricorn tomorrow/Tues, 27. Again, politics, business, and being in charge. We shall be buried under the mountain of political pundits and ridiculousness.
Here’s what we can do. Here is our real power. Commit to sitting quietly and visualizing the best person to lead this country. Wrap them in light. Thank them for the courage and the intelligence they have shown for the years of public service, for their unstinting, generous leadership on so many levels. See that person in charge of this beautiful country. We deserve the best. Now do your part to see them through. Imagine Pluto’s power in the hands of someone who uses it judiciously; Jupiter’s Libran partnering of fairness and equanimity; Mercury’s Virgo savvy for detail and work ethic; and Mars’ commitment to lead the fight for everyone!
If your birthday is this week~Happiness! Know that your ideas and point of view are changing, especially around relationships. You will want a larger sense of self through the give and take, not only of relationship with others, but within self and your work. These past months, you may have spent time reflecting on what offers you a sense of power, and greater control, and you are now moving toward fulfilling that. You may be surprised by becoming more politically active. You may desire greater say in your position at work. This may push you to learn a new skill, or refine one you’ve had. Certainly you will feel motivated to move forward and channel your life in more powerful ways.
