Preparing Fall Equinox

The fall out and build up out of last week’s Full Moon in Pisces/Virgo has produced inchoate desire and angst for many.  In certain ways it culminates energies that were birthed on the Virgo New Moon of August 25. The last quarter phase which occupies this week, asks us to re-think what we have learned and gained from the cycle. Mars has just moved into Sagittarius, assisting us to enlarge visions, and take action.  Be careful of the impulse to jump just because you don’t know what else to do.  Uranus, the God of sudden change and un-expected events, is in Aires, another impulsive fire sign,   aspects not only Mars, but Venus, Jupiter and Saturn.  If we have been feeling stuck, these connections and the inspirational fire could be a good thing.  Stay open to new adventures.

Venus, who rules Libra, as well as Taurus, is aspecting Chiron, the wounded healer, and Pluto, lord of the underworld. Pluto is preparing to move forward next Monday, making this a powerful time for our planet. You may be ready to move from a symbolic death, or leave a safe structure behind.  You may feel that dark, hidden parts of yourself are coming up in relationship exchanges. Pay attention to the feelings.  They’re important.  Try to detach and symbolize these events so they become useful to you, not just another melt down.

The pose this week, in honor of fall equinox, and international day of peace is of course Surya Namaskar/Sun Salutation.  If you cannot join the tribe on Sunday, 21, find a beautiful space upon the earth to stand and salute her beauty, and your own.  Offer your moving meditation toward creating peace, within self, throughout the world.
