We have an on-going road map to expect the un-expected all month. The map was drawn from the energies of the New Moon Solar Eclipse on August 21, at 29 degrees of Leo. The directional information symbolized enlightenment, of usual, but mostly un-usual persuasion, including strange opportunities in strange places with odd people. (This due to Uranus trine the Eclipse point.) Mainly, it reinforced soul intention from the heart’s perspective, the inner work many of you have been dancing.
Two events this week carry these themes onward. The First is Mercury stationing to go direct on the 5th, in the same degree as the Eclipse! The second is an un-worldly Full Moon in Pisces on the 6th. You may be ‘soul-raptured.’ You may also realize you’re addicted, lost in victimhood, or in total denial of your reality. Pisces, and its ruler, Neptune, are highly paradoxical, and other-worldly dimensions. These energies are extremely engorged by the Full Moon being directly on Neptune. Dear friend, and keen Astrologer Richard Humbert writes, “On almost all levels, this Full Moon is a reality check. Is the world really the way we think it is, or do we have a learning experience ahead?” Having re-traced our ideas and plans the past three week, can we hope for new understanding, and better options?
Don’t move too fast! Take time to dream. If you ain’t dreaming big, intuiting strong, or dancing like Delilah, you’ve missed a grand opportunity here. Full Moons always bring polarities and relationships front and center. Look at pairs of opposites that have confounded you, such as the ideas of: life and death, peace and chaos, cowardice and courage. What do the pairs have in common? How do they reflect and mirror one another? Sit with yourself and ‘the other,’ that person from another reality that you do not understand, and worse, disdain. How can you cross over the chasm and create a dialogue of peace? Take time for introspection and meditative silence in order to discover an alchemical motivation for a more powerfully developed heart-account. Better than money in the bank!
Because Mercury is turning direct from the same Eclipse degree, it carries archetypes of that energy in its forward motion, and from that, secrets are being released, both personally and collectively/politically. Our own hidden agendas are coming to light, and the inner work we have struggled with will bear fruit. Yes, we may still be confused about how best to move into September, as deception and unreality abound, but choose to be awake to your creative-spirituality, which will help you through the Neptunian fog.
If you find politics execrable, the climate tempestuous, nerves shredded, or emotions depressed, consider them a goad for contouring your deeper Self, that part of you seeking inner alignment and joyous Grace. Those of us who can, must be goaded. It is our turn to do it for those who cannot. Send your light to Harvey’s victims, never forgetting Syria, Palestine, Korea, North and South, Lebanon, Jordan, Greece, Russia, Uganda, Rwanda, Afghanistan, America! Anywhere, and in all places darkness grows. Be the light you came here to be.
Mat Practice this week: Despite the Yang calling in every Full Moon, this one is so filled with Neptunian waters that even finding the way onto the mat might be difficult. Despite Virgo loving its healthy habits, and daily lists, begin, without list, by sitting and listening. “AUM” deeply through the heart several times, then shake for four minutes, until everything drops away, and you stand light, and reflectively-receptive. Visualize new life under the magical Pisces Moon, then howl it home.
This Week’s Birthday-Bodies: You can certainly expect the year to be full of relationship issues, testing you and pushing you to be more open. You will lean a deeper awareness of self through others. With Neptune’s spiritual nature infusing this re-birth, rejoice in greater creativity, as well as spiritual practices. Be aware of addictions, deceit, yours and others, martyrdom, and musicality. These are not normally attributes a Virgo works with, but this is going to be a very different kind of year, so open those heart-pumps and let loose with the heavy red-stuff.
