Week of Feb. 17-27

Be magical!  Shine your dancing shoes, get your hotsy-totsy outfit ready, and rev up the big engines.  We rock.  Hopefully, we rock on.  But if not, go out in full gear, full steam ahead.  No hiding under a rock.

We have moved out from under Mercury’s retrograde into an electric New Moon on the 18th, positioned not only at the half way mark of the upcoming Uranus/Pluto square, but at the ending degrees of Aquarius, which is ruled by Uranus. New Moons are usually quiet, introspective times. This one~NOT.  It is charged with the directive: ‘over throw or be over thrown.’ Being involved in the last of seven Uranus/Pluto squares that have moved in and out of sync with one another since 2012, the energies of both planets will intertwine in this Aquarian New Moon, marking her upcoming cycle with re-generational drop-kicks.

Think: change/upheaval/revolution and extreme conditions.  This includes the political, such as ISIS,  economics, weather, and emotional mine-fields.  You may find your convictions have a louder voice, or you may feel unexpected urges for freedom pulling the tried and true out from under. This New Moon, and the Pluto/Uranus big-square are game changers, setting ideas and situations in motion for next month with the opening of spring at the Aires Equinox, March 20-21, plus the next New Moon, also on the 20, which is a Solar Eclipse.  Eclipses always herald change, asking we clean out old closets of regret and mindless junk.  Both of these occur the same week as the final ‘Big Square.’

As to your life on the mat, normally classes this week would bow to a New Moon inner life and lack of energy.  But with all the revolutionary push-pull, we will not only find time to re-set our spiritual compass, and nurture bodies to open and expand, but we will build fortitude through fiery Asanas, releasing tension and inner turmoil.

This week, preparations begin for March, energetic highlight of 2015. Muscle, and bone, heart and spirit shall integrate toward more profound alignments, serving not only our highest good, but that of the Universe.
