March 10-17

NEW MOON SPLENDOR

As first stars rise

A sliver of silver cuts the dark,

Tender as a new scar,

Wound of the lost life

And shadowed regret.

Come, sky-walk with me

To cross new thresholds

Led by beginner’s –mind,

Held by the intimate soul.

As you dream under this New Moon, let your imagination be fertile, wide open to creativity, as well as your compassion as you open doors to the next cycle. The photograph above holds fertile Piscean symbols embedded in this New Moon.  1. It hints at the Moon’s mirrored-self in the cold water.  2. It holds an other-worldly beauty, with an eternal sensibility of the romance of the sea.  3. There is a deep, quiet, and peaceful calm, which beckons spirit.  We might call the Pisces lunation on March 13, the ‘Fish-Moon,’ referring to Pisces’ symbol of two fish tied at the tail, mirroring one another as they swim in opposite directions trying to reconcile spirit to daily life.

It’s not only the Moon and Sun giving birth in Pisces, but its ruler, Neptune, and its ‘secondary ruler,’ Venus, hover nearby, wrapped in an oceanic, Piscean-space of healing, love, spirit, confusion, loss, and magic, along with unseen phenomena.  It is a mystical time to imaginatively create a new life, not only the 28 day lunar cycle, but this birth leads directly into the Vernal Equinox, which is the Astrological New Year. This year particularly, it’s important to have ideas, plans, and intentions formed about how you wish to move forward.  I remind you that 2021 is a year of multiple changes, with sudden “Go!” Then holdbacks.  Our step by step process needs formulating, and structuring, despite the inherent confusion and loss that Pisces energy brings.  This is when you want your inner life to zing with greater sensitivity, to embrace what is felt but not seen; what is sensed but not acknowledged.  Our psychic, intuitive qualities are heightened, which is wonderful for receiving higher levels of information. Pay attention to relationships, especially the difficult ones needing trust and healing.  Compassion, and ‘Emotional Intelligence’ are more readily available now.  For relationships needing ‘rescue’- pay attention.  Ask if that is correct action? How many times have you rescued them before?  Be discerning! Are you in alignment with Self as you rescue them (again)?

Cautionary notes at this time are:  1. Watch your boundaries.  2. We are spongy, absorbing other’s energies, which might be fine if the other is happy….but if not.  3.  Take time out for privacy, quiet, and meditative-listening that are more important than ever. 4. Be aware of martyrdom, and saying ‘yes’ when you need to say ‘no.’ Know that the body may feel depleted, and tired.  This is a time of stretching, breathing, and being still.  5.  Find time to be with your Self, to honor the work you have done, the path you have forged. Ask what the soul-Self needs for its next journey.  Promise yourself greater self-care.
