MEANING FROM INSANITY

When the world is upside-down, and destruction prevails, we seek meaning to assuage suffering.  We yearn for beauty to inform pain.  We beg to be transformed from existential meaninglessness.  That’s a tall order, but we are up to it if we stop long enough to shine a light on the darkness and find a measure of meaning from deep shadows of destruction.  This Full Moon in the Virgo/Pisces polarity offers hope and help.  On the 18th, the Moon in healing Virgo is extremely complex as it not only opposes the Sun in spiritual Pisces but is the handle of an Astrological bucket.  Imagine the Moon, symbol of emotions, mom, home, and the public standing alone facing a bucket-full of the other 9 planets!  Clearly un-balanced, yet ostensibly trying to pull off a Full Moon balancing act.  The practical Virgo Moon’s reflected brilliance is of a mentally-earthy, grounded nature.  Her opposing watery consort is in imaginative, spiritual Pisces, and is joined there by both rulers of Pisces, Jupiter, and Neptune., plus Mercury, Virgo’s ruling planet, and mentor of mental functioning.  This floods the Sun, our egos and identities, with a desire for ONEness, for intuitive knowing, and heart connection to others.  This also floods the world with refugees, cared for unselfishly by many others.  The Sun, considered yang, is far more feminine here. The Moon, seen as Yin, carries the more masculine directives. If you are confused, join the melee.  We are in a watery haven of confusion and oneness as the world teaches us that the only way we survive is to embrace one another.  As I wrote last week: “Thank you M Putin for being the great unifier.”

In deriving meaning from insanity, we are helped by a tripod earth energy as the Full Moon connects to Pluto, (planet of re-birth, hidden emotion, as well as death) and the North Node in earthy Taurus. (The North Node is a finger pointing to an unknown future, but one we must follow for survival). This helps us use the myriad, confusing energies from a useful, practical methodology.  This ‘dirt-filled gravitas’ helps winnow wheat from chaff, as there are bound to be disputes, confusion, and distortion whenever Mercury (ideas, and communication) moves through Pisces, sign of its ‘detriment.’ (Meaning -where it does not function well.)

A practical Virgo list to consider when working with this lunation:

*Their polarity emphasizes desires for quiet, receptive alone-time VS being over busy and lost in detail.  Structure a new balance.

*We are all are feeling distracted and emotional~ yet need to work carefully and precisely, therefore slow down and listen.

*Self-care is critical~ especially for emotional healing.  What are your boundaries of Self VS caring for others? 

* Re-instructing & re-structuring healthy daily Practices is a lovely Virgo task.

* The March “Worm Moon” asks we take advantage of ‘worms of renewal rising from the earth. What do you wish to dig up, plant, wiggle out of?

* There is much that lies below the surface, therefore take the pause that refreshes before saying anything important, critical, or angry.

* Grow strategically!  Balance instinctual with intellectual before deciding on a different direction.  With the full weight of this Full Moon on the Moon as a handle to the bucket, be conscious of impulsivity, or feeling fearful and therefore lashing out. 

* This is a highly Piscean creative time when everyone feels nurtured by the arts.  Either create something or join the dance~  see Vimeo link below!

On the 20th, when spring (or fall in the Southern Hemisphere) struts in with the Sun’s arrival at 00 Aires, start of the Astrological New Year by creating a moment to celebrate this Equinox, and the balancing of light and dark, old and new, despair and hope.  The ancients knew it as a sacred time, connecting humans to cycles of the earth.  This year, let us light an affirming flame by clearing cobwebs of deceit, and cleansing worn-out psyches~ as well as closets.  Aires is the warrior energy, the “I AM” signature of the zodiac.  At this critical moment, let us be brave enough to bless the destruction and despair so we might release it.  Let the world stand, sword in hand, to rise as spiritual warriors in the battle for a brave, compassionate, new world order.

Last week, all class proceeds were donated to Ukraine through UNICEF who are working closely with the refugees of Ukraine.  Be proud- We raised $145.00!  This week, I am doing the same, except all class proceeds will go to CARE-Ukraine.  Feel free to add on to class fee or just be pleased your fees are ‘spirit-directed’ in supporting Ukrainian people. 

BIRTHDAYS THIS WEEK:  As the tail end of the Piscean fishy tale, this is a year where you may begin to understand your power as a conduit, a messenger of manifestation.  To undertake to grow this power is a confusing journey as so many parts of you must join a new alchemy.  You have help if you choose to undertake this path.  It is a journey that the world needs- where you become more responsible for Self, your talents, and goals, and are then able to offer this deep creativity to others, without losing self.  Not easy, but you are up to it.  You can only grow taller, and more luminous from your efforts.
