BOW AND KISS THE EARTH

The Sun moves into earthy Taurus and Earth Day arrives on the 22nd.  Time to celebrate our Great Mother-Gaia and turn to her care as never before.  Awareness is growing that we shall perish if we do not do so.  Despite her repeated forgiveness at our carelessness, the hour is upon us do the hard work of restoration and repair.  It’s a major component of this year’s dazzling shifts and depth-charges, especially with Uranus, the planet of upheaval, higher intelligence, and literally ‘earth-shaking events’ now in Taurus, and heading to dance with the Sun.  All this week and next, leading into the Taurus/Scorpio Full Moon on the 27th, we are affected by Uranus’ higher vibration, which can ramp up the nervous system, play havoc with sleep, but/and offer sudden, electric, out of the box inspiration.

This week Uranus moves into its square with Saturn once again.  This is a signature energy of 2021, which was begun and written by the Greeks, whose symbology holds true today.  If you know your Greek legends, then you know that Uranus/Ouranos, was the premier sky god, son AND husband of Gaia, Mother Earth.  They gave birth to the Titans, one of whom was Cronus/Saturn, the earthy, practical, and intractable youngest son, who along with his many siblings was imprisoned deep within Earth by their father, causing their mother great pain.  Gaia created a giant sickle and asked her sons to castrate their father.  Only Cronus, the most ambitious of the Titans was willing.  When he castrated Ouranos, his testicles fell into the sea whereupon Aphrodite arose in the bloody foam, along with the furies, the Giants, and other pissed off Avengers.  No wonder each time Uranus passes through Taurus the earth is upset, and rises up through volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, dust bowls, and huge storms.

When we personally use Uranian energy wisely, we pay greater attention to intuition and dreams.  Be aware of ‘lightning strikes’ or flash points of “ahaaaa” moments asking to be captured. Write it down or it will be ‘gone with the wind.’  Listen attentively to synchronistic, and out of the blue creative whiplashes of understanding.  With winds of change blowing across the world, not only is weather un-settled, but old ways of thinking are blown about, ready to transform into promising new shapes.  These ‘lighting strikes’ also affect relationships.  Not only through interpersonal interactions, but how we view and accept one another.  Since energies of intuitive understanding are more readily available, make it an opportune time to not only be inspired, but inspire others.

Our present cycle began with marching orders from the New Moon on the  11th“ This silvery scythe of a New Moon in Aires, cleanses, re-loads, and collaborates breaking down fragile frontiers between known and unknown. “  This has been spectacularly true as It carries us toward April’s big moment, the Taurus/Scorpio Full Moon on the 27, which is profoundly connected to Pluto’s Retrograde station also on the 27th!  Pluto, god of sex, death, taxes, psychology, the unconscious, and the transformational journey we make from birth to death, ruling the Moon in Scorpio, the emotional body, is preparing a profoundly deep dive.  Now is the time to pay attention as we are feeling the vibration of Pluto’s standstill.  26 degrees of Capricorn.) Remember, when any planet ‘stations’/stops to go either direct or forward their energies increase exponentially.  Let’s use it with wise awareness.

RITUAL:  Because rituals help us contact the deep underbelly of our beasty-ness, our psychological subconscious, use these opportune energies to create a sacred moment in time for self-awareness.  Sit with your intention, listen to what’s needed, and where you wish to go to make the mundane sacred.  In a sweetly quiet space bring your whole intelligence to the table where you can be fed and watered.  Creating these small habits when life is relaxed, supports returning to that same table when life is hard.

THE PRACTICE: WHY DO YOGA?

As some of you know, we were in Portland Ore. to see mom…. flying for the first time in over a year. It’s presented me/us with how much life has changed.  The handprint of this pandemic is transforming every aspect of life -far beyond old structures. As we move forward, it’s clear we need to reset in many ways, especially with more awareness in how we care for one another.  I’m asking my Practice for knowledge and sustenance.

What tools can we embellish and practice to support new structures?  We need to be grounded.  We need to understand boundaries.  We need to love with courage.  We need to integrate spirit into everyday habits.  And on it goes.  Make your own list.  You will find that the most vital things on the list can be grown on the mat.  let’s integrate, embroider, expand, motivate, and take delight in building body and soul one step closer to who and what will inhabit the new life.

YOUR BIRTHDAY WEEK: It’s going to me a ‘mercurial year’ ahead!  This includes an active mind, innovative ideas, important conversations with all your relationships, primarily the one with Self.  If so inclined, you may teach, write, create podcasts.  As said, your mind is full and active, digging deep and

reaching long.  Be aware of unconscious patterns rising for review, especially when in dialogue with loved ones.  It’s a year when old injury, or old material needs your ‘present eye’ of greater love and acceptance, Hope all your new ideas excite you!
