- We are lion-hearted, fire inspired as we remove our watery-selves from Cancer’s emotional tides. The Sun-filled signature of Leo fills the firmament, emotionally taking us from sensitivity and cuddling to drama, and passion.
We feel the effect of the Leo grouping as these are ‘personal planets,’ in close and directing ‘daily traffic.’ Hopefully, you will feel the ‘fuego’ as inspiration, and a passionate renewal, not melodrama and arrogance- two faces of Leo.
Use the last week of Mercury Retrograde in Cancer to reconsider how you are nurturing self, and others; Where is your sense of safety? What is changing, or needs changing in your family construct? Consider your sense of home? Is it shifting? Why and how?
THE STORY By Friday, Sun, Mars, and Venus are in Leo, affecting daily behavior as these are ‘personal planets,’ in close and directing ‘daily traffic.’ Hopefully, you feel their ‘fuego’ as inspiration, and passionate renewal, not melodrama and arrogance- two faces of Leo. But there is yet more heat in the heavens as Leo connects to flames of Jupiter in Sagittarius, and Chiron-the wounded healer, in Aires. How can we best use this fiery combust? As always, it is our choice of the use of energy that creates an inspired passion, OR an arrogant, drama queen? We have both faces within, waiting to leap out. ‘Leap’ is the correct verb, as fire erupts, it does not hang out for you to decide, so it’s best to think about it now, if at all possible.
What will help pull in the instant impulse to action is the inconjunct of Mars to Saturn. Inconjuncts are planetary connections that ask for reconsideration, possibly a re-do, in order to proceed with caution. It’s a psychological linking that often requires an attitude adjustment…..very welcome in this explosive week. We may also find that Mercury being retrograde all week, until the 31’st at the New Moon in Leo, reinforces reconsiderations before firing off something we then need to apologize for.
It’s a short story this week as I suggest you listen to your own amazing inspiration. Be joyous at the beach, in the mountains, in your backyard. Go out and be lion-hearted, big with love and generosity. Spend some of that on yourself, remembering to stand in awe of who you are. Here is a lovely tip from a great Yoga instructor in Chula Vista, Ashley Disharoon, who said, “Think of your bestie, your mate, someone who loves you, and see yourself through their eyes.”
YOUR PRACTICE THIS WEEK: Despite heading down toward a New Moon on the 31st, it’s not a week to grow quiet, unless you need that silence to balance the roar off the flames. First, use some that enflamed energy in physically challenging Practices. Move from what you know into poses that challenge, as fire helps overcome old fears, and holds inspiration to expand. As always, pay attention to what your body is asking, not what you are demanding of it…which is an all too easy place to go with Leo boldness in full force. It’s the age old balancing of how much is too much? Pay extra attention to being present, on the mat, and off.
YOUR BIRTHDAY FLIGHT INSTRUCTIONS: Ask how you are spending your relationship-money. Are you connected with those who care for you? Who tell you the truth? Who will go the distance? These are questions you’ve been considering, and will continue to do so this birthday year. With all the fire surrounding your re-birth, pay attention to how best to be inspired AND inspiring. It may be a year for risking, for a new creative habit, an unknown direction, a deeper love. You are impassioned, so pay attention to how that passion can best be grown and nurtured~ Fuego Fortunes!
