Partnering Prana

We are at home, happier, more expansive when invited to the party. Prana is the same. This energy, or life force is pervasive. It is source material. But when we beckon it to connect to breath with awareness and meaning, we make the party come alive. Who knows, new DNA may be firing when prana is intentionally invited, guided, and manipulated within?

Motivating and moving life force into inner landscapes, offers the subtle body a protective shield and buckler, just as using prana to heat fascia and muscle moves the body physically. This inner energy is a silent, spaciousness that can wrap our vulnerable child with care and comfort. It can provide a bulwark for anxious fears and resentments. Both inner and outer use are necessary for balance and stability. However it’s deployed, it works most effectively when consciously invited.

As we learn to clear and make an inner space for our own voice, instead of mom’s, dad’s, mate’s or bosses, we elevate and celebrate our own vibration. OUR thoughts and choices come to life. We begin to embody the life we are meant to live, connecting to our true nature, and understanding our personal myth. This allows our light to shine courageously in unexpected ways. Creating new habits of choiceful prana integrates inner and outer life, transforming physical and subtle body choreography. Learning to move past distractions and road blocks, we connect to a luminous elegance.

Many of you know that we’ve just returned from the golden hills of our California roots where we were invited to a special wedding.  The hills are more desiccated than remembered, yet in many ways remain landscapes of lotus-eaters, those who love and link inner and outer, sane and insane as daily bread. It’s not that meta-life doesn’t happen elsewhere, but California sprays it as graffiti over old walls. While there, we were invited to three very different Yoga classes, from stylistically contrasting teachers, yet they all spoke of, and invited prana, particularly inner prana to their party. These fateful, or synchronous invitations were not lost on us. We stopped, re-calculated, and inhaled new life force. We invited a quiet source to enter the body as we turned to face memory as mirror, opening sliding doors of past and present so our perceptions, our future vision might expand, and DNA renew.
