We are moving fast and furiously, with hundreds of small, and not so small shifts/changes/delusions to our days.  Can you feel it?  Do you hear what is calling you? Have you been deleting old debilitating habits of mind and body? Have you felt the rise of revolution in the air?  All this and more are in place as we move through the week to welcome the second eclipse of the Full Moon at 4 Pisces on the 27-28th. Despite the gifts held in that magic basket, the world is facing a depth charge of transforming metamorphis, especially the demise of old limiting frameworks.  In this era-changing year we face possibilities and potentials of rebirth, and as you know rebirth requires death. Our political world is teetering on the brink of collapse.  The questions are when and how? Is revolution imminent? It is born from the family cycle of eclipses known for ‘the downfall of leaders.’  Which king and when we do not know, but along with their demise has come revolution.  As we have little control over the mundane aspects of eclipses, let us turn inward, seeking personal understanding and support from its energies.  It is particularly important to open the baby blues this week as we have several change-agents prodding transforming steps onward.

Be mindful that I promised you “An August leaping from unexpected event to the next, with no parachutes allowed.”  And I always keep my promises.  With the upcoming Full Moon eclipse promising the downfall of leaders, let us not forget that each of us have taken on leadership roles in some small or large way.  What are the cracks and wounds in assuming any visible position that now needs repair and healing? Much is being revealed during August’s confusion AND much remains hidden.  Don’t waste muscle fighting what is.  If you don’t like it ~this is a time to surrender the angst. 

As though Eclipse Season is not enough reason to release and renew, the mystical Blood Moon, eclipsed on the 27-28, squares Uranus, the great Promethean Sky God of enlightenment and chaos. It is essential to pause with longer deeper breaths.  Avoid any last-minute decisions or action!  No matter what is going on behind the scene energetically, I hope you take time to view the 96% darkened Moon. It lasts more than three hours, peaking around 6 pm EDT, and around 9 PDT this coming Thursday 27th.

This lunation is a cautionary alert for our internal axis of selflessness and caring as the Moon is in ‘dear sweet self-sacrificing Pisces’ and the Sun in ‘please fix it -practical Virgo.’ It’s especially important under an eclipse to not ignore our feelings or put band aids on old wounds.  This is a wonderful invitation to really listen to the body, growing the intuitive voice.  Yet another accented activation is the Moon traveling with Fomalhaut, one of the four Persian Royal Stars. This star offers mixed messages, one symbolizing idealism, altruism, and inspiration. Its shadow reputation offers escapist desires, extreme behavior, and doubt in Self which often bring escapist tendencies.  Therefore, faith is questioned along with the need for greater clarity and higher motivation.  Make yourself more available to the surrender of old illusions, worn out motivation and/or family wounding.  In the eye of any storm- cool your jets, wear a life vest of comfort and clarity.

Deepening the Astrologic information offers other insightful knowledge, but it may be more than you wish to read….so stop here and contemplate your navel along with the above information.  This bit is about the nodes, which are not planets rather places of informative wisdom from the degree and sign of where the Moon’s orbit crosses the ecliptic.  The South Node is representative of what we have learned, what we have experienced- be it this life or another.  In mundane terms, it is what we need to collectively release and leave behind.  The North Node is what we are learning and leaning into, the unknown. With the nodes now travelling through Leo/Aquarius, presently at 29 degrees, this places the South Node-‘what we are leaving behind’ on the Ascendent of the Wack Job in the White House.  Combining that with this eclipse family~ the ‘demise of leaders’.  Shall assume good fortune.?

 (The Ascendent is the starting point in any chart and informs of looks and the physical body as well as presentation of personality.  It’s who we see.)

All of us are working with the South Node in Leo, asking for the release of its shadow aspect, making it time to surrender the BIG EGO, as well as the drama, the need for applause and validation. The inner wounding of the Leo South Node is about intrinsic worth, and faith in self.  (The North Node in Leo is a big heart, courage, loyalty, and creativity, plus an infectious joy.).  With the world turning to the North Node in Aquarius, we are building community, the humanity of stepping up in support of one another, innovation, being a rebel. and /or a visionary.  We are motivated by cause not by fame.

VIRGO BIRTHDAY: May you find quiet healing time for Self as your big gift this year.  Take out a knife and cut away what no longer serves.  Call in the soft, sweet flow of water to wash through you, no matter the tsunami’s.  Turn the need to control into acceptance, and acceptance with pleasure.  No easy task but you are up to it.  Mercury, your ruling planet, is presently travelling with the South Node as it enters Virgo, asking for a sweeter mental analysis of self, and the inner strength to not fall back into old patterns of critique and perfection.
